September 8-17,

Prepared center section seat and baggage ribs by deburring all edges. Made necessary modifications to 4 of the seat ribs to allow for pushrod movement and access.

Deburred bottom center section skin edges. Began clecoeing seat and baggage ribs to aft bulkhead and seatback bulkhead.

September 18-20, 2005

Clecoed bottom center section skin to aft center bulkhead, seat back bulkhead and ribs then match drilled. Began fitting corner ribs. Fabricated and match drilled the attach strips for the corner ribs.

The forward center bulkhead and side doublers  were attached to the assembly and match drilled. The whole assembly becomes very rigid when everything gets clecoed together.

September 23-25, 2005

Did another check on the seat belt anchors that bolt on to the seat back bulkhead. Had to trim them some more to clear the ribs. Touched them up with touch up paint to match powdercoating. Disassembled the center section and did the necessary deburring of the rivet holes and dimpling of the seat and baggage ribs. Began deburring holes on bottom skin.

Machine countersunk the F-905 side bulkhead doubler plates. Dimpled the bottom center section skin. This skin is quite large across the width so you have to get a little creative with positioning the skin in order to dimple every hole. The entire skin was dimpled with the C-Frame dimpler.

I decided to countersink the holes in the bottom flanges of the center section bulkheads where the bottom skins get riveted on. The plans give no real direction on what is the best way. I guess the best way is however you end up doing it. After countersinking, I prepped and primed the countersunk holes.
