December 2, 2005

Turned the assembly over and attached the center section to the aft section at the aft end of the bottom skin. I had to adapt the sawhorse to accomodate the width of the fuselage at the center bulkhead.

December 3, 2005

Drilled holes in the F-970 side skins to accommodate the steps that I will be installing. Installed both of the F-970 side skins to the center fuselage assembly. Fit and drilled the armrests to the inside of the skins.

December 7, 2005

Made the conical bends on the F-970 side skins. I overbent the right side a little too much and had some cracking develop and the corner of the bend. I stop-drilled it an may use a little filler to fill it in. Left bend came out fine.

December 10-11, 2005

Before I could match drill the longerons to the side skins, I had to disassemble everything and remove the longerons to add a little more bend and twist to them. Re-assembled everything and completed the match drilling.

December 12-13, 2005

Set and clamped the firewall in place on the end of the longerons and to the side skins. Set forward bottom skin on assembly and drilled corner holes to set alignment. Match drilled the firewall to side skins.

December 16, 2005

Removed forward bottom skin and drilled openings for the main gear legs and brake lines using a template provided on the drawings. I used a burr in the angle grinder to rough in the large gear leg openings.
