Trip to Van's Aircraft
I visited Van's Aircraft on May 1st, 2002 and got a demo ride from Ken Scott.
Awesome aircraft! Ken demonstrated a very short field takeoff (<500 ft.), some
basic maneuvers (power off stalls, slow flight, steep turns) and a short field
landing. I did get to fly a little and was amazed at the ease of flying and the
feel of the stick. Overall, very worthwhile. Below are a few pics. Most of the demonstrators were there. Very nice facility. I'm now motivated more than ever
to keep moving on my project.
